One of the quiet luxuries of a holiday in Bodrum is not having to go anywhere. When a massage comes to your villa, you step out of the session and straight into the rest of your day: a swim, a nap in the shade, dinner on the terrace. Nothing to drive back from, nothing to rush.
As a Bodrum yoga teacher and holistic bodyworker, most of my massage sessions take place exactly like this: on villa terraces in Yalıkavak and Türkbükü, in gardens under olive trees, on pool decks overlooking the Aegean. Here is what an in-villa massage in Bodrum looks like, from the first message to the moment you get up.
Which massages can come to your villa?
Two signature bodywork sessions are brought to you, each with its own character:
- Signature Thai Yoga Massage, 90 minutes. Fully clothed, on a traditional Thai mattress. Sustained pressure, rhythmic compressions and assisted stretches, moving with the breath like a slow, guided practice.
- Ayur Balance Signature Massage, 80 minutes. On a massage table with carefully selected linens. Inspired by Ayurvedic bodywork, it moves between deep, grounding pressure and soft, supportive touch, and begins with a short consultation.
Either session can close with a sound healing extension, when Tibetan and crystal bowls help the nervous system settle and the effects of the work integrate more deeply.
What I bring, and what you need
You do not need to prepare much. I bring the equipment for the session: the Thai mattress or massage table, high-quality organic massage oils, carefully selected linens and, if you add it, the sound healing instruments.
What helps is a quiet, level space with room to move around the table or mattress, roughly three by three metres. In July and August, shade matters more than the view: a covered terrace, a pergola or a shaded corner of the garden is ideal. Somewhere a little away from the pool and the kitchen keeps the session calm when others are around.
The best time of day
Bodrum summers are warm, so mornings and the hours before sunset tend to feel best. A morning massage sets an easy tone for the day. An evening session slows everything down before dinner and pairs beautifully with sound healing as the light fades. After a long flight, a session on your first or second day helps the body arrive.
How the session unfolds
- ArrivingI set up the space while you settle in. We talk briefly about how you feel, any areas of tension, injuries or health considerations, and what you would like from the session.
- The workThe session is shaped by what your body shows, not by a fixed sequence. Pressure, pace and focus are adjusted as we go.
- StillnessA few quiet minutes at the end let the body settle before you get up.
- AfterwardsDrink water, keep the next hour slow if you can, and notice how you move for the rest of the day.
Couples, families and friends
If several people at the villa would like a massage, sessions can be arranged one after another on the same day, so everyone can enjoy their time without anyone leaving the house. Villa managers and concierges can also request sessions on behalf of their guests; see partnerships.
Before you book
Please mention any injuries, recent surgery, pregnancy, blood pressure or heart conditions when you request a session, so the work can be adapted or another option suggested. Massage supports wellbeing but does not replace medical advice.
